ASGA Silver Award 2010
On Tuesday 21 September 2010 Signs Plus won the prestigious Australian Sign & Graphics Silver
Award (VINYL Non-Digital) at the Sydney Visual Impact Show held at Darling Harbour. The Visual
Impact Show is the largest show of it's type held in Australia. This years entries for the awards was
the highest seen by the Australian Signs & Graphics Association with the total number of entries
over all categories exceeding 590, almost double 2008 entries, the awards are held every 2 years.
The logo was designed by Stephen Dyer in his fist year of trading over seventeen years ago. The
initial design was for Swan Hill Abattoirs and later adapted for Murray Valley Meat Co (Sydney) and
a number of companies within the Woodward Group. It was very rewarding to see a logo designed
over 17 years ago still relevant in todays competitive market. The vehicle layout incorporating the
logo was designed by Wade Dyer and installation was carried out by Philip Clarke assisted by Wade
and Stephen Dyer. The quality of the finished result was an accumulation of skills with Stephen's 18
years experience in the sign industry, Wade's 4 year University and 2 year on the job training and
Philip's 3 years in the automotive finishing industry and 2 years employment at Signs Plus all added
up to an award winning vehicle. Almost all the graphics are in the newly developed Avery Supreme
Wrap Film for long life and durability.
